James Lafaro

James is a NASM certified, Tier 3 Elite Master Trainer with over 20 years of experience. His expertise ranges from kettlebell training, speed and conditioning, Olympic lifting, pre- and post-natal care, weight loss, and body sculpting. James specializes in developing customized programs for individuals to achieve and succeed with their fitness goals. He has developed programs for everyone from athletes to first time gym goers. James focuses on injury prevention, measurable improvements, and results.

Niv Zinder

Co-Owner of Hype Gym

Niv has been involved with sports and fitness since childhood, starting with basketball in his home of Tel-Aviv, Israel playing in the professional leagues. Niv later joined the Israeli Army as a Defense Forces Fitness Trainer where he led workouts for soldiers. For the past decade, Niv has been leading group fitness classes in NYC as well as working one on one with clients.  Education is something that Niv is passionate about. After taking dozens of certifications, and seminars, it lead Niv to go back to school to earn a Master Degree in Exercise Science with the focus on performance enhancement and injury prevention. Knowledge is power, however, Niv believes in “principles over systems”. It it not about learning one training system and believing that is the only way to deliver results.

By going through his own transformation of losing 70lbs, he understands the struggles that come with change and how to support you along the way. Lauren Kranzler

Lauren is a NASM certified personal trainer with a focus on corrective exercise and strength training. Lauren is a former soccer player and is now passionate about powerlifting and bodybuilding. She focuses on injury prevention, measurable improvements, and results. Programs are unique and customized for each client based on their fitness level and goals. Lauren has trained and developed programs for clients at all levels.

Kyle O'Flaherty

Physical Therapist

Kyle O’Flaherty is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Performance Coach. A former Strength and Conditioning Coach with a BSc in Exercise Science, Kyle witnessed a deficit in full-spectrum care and a need for physical therapy to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and fitness. While Kyle treats a range of conditions, he specializes in treating chronic pain and sports and fitness re-entry. His certifications include ART (Active Release Techniques), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Functional Movement System (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness. Kyle spends his spare time outdoors — hiking, rock climbing, cycling, trail running, mountaineering, free-diving, and anything else with “calculated risk” and challenge

Jason Deolall

Hi, I'm Jason Deolall, a NYC-based trainer with over 10 years of training experience. I spent most of my 20s working as an Accountant for Bloomberg Finance. However, after seven years, I realized that this path wasn't aligned with my true aspirations. Having been involved in sports throughout my life and maintaining a regular gym routine, I understood the challenges of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while being tied to a desk job. This realization led me to make a bold decision—to return to school and pursue personal training as a profession. Passionate about my craft, I started my career at a commercial gym and have since remained dedicated to expanding my knowledge within the field. I value continuing education. 

While fitness is my profession and passion, my most cherished roles are those of a husband and father. I prioritize my family above all else, and I am grateful to share my life with my wonderful wife and two beautiful children. When I'm not engaged in training clients one-on-one or leading small group sessions at The Training Yard, you'll likely find me enjoying quality time with my loved ones.

David Hanono

I'm David Hanono, your friendly Fitness Coach.

My mission is to create a challenging and mindful fitness environment that will help you surpass your own expectations.
From a young age, I've had an obsession with fitness. As a multi-sport athlete at Lawrence High School in Long Island, New York, I excelled in various sports and even made it to the national AAU tournament twice as a teenager playing point guard for the Long Island Lighting.
My fitness journey was greatly influenced by my friends and family, who were experts in disciplines such as boxing, weightlifting, martial arts, and traditional fitness training. This unique combination of influences has shaped BodyByNono's unconventional, yet highly effective, approach to helping clients achieve their goals.
Since 2016, I have been certified as a personal trainer and have continuously refined my approach to cater to each client's specific needs. I hold certifications from the American Council of Exercise, Bio Mechanics Level 1 Dbc, KBCU Level 2, and CPR Aed.
